Marketing Coordinator

Company: American Red Cross
Requirements: Serves as a marketing generalist to coordinates chapter-wide projects and programs to measurably increase public understanding and support of the American Red Cross.
Specific Responsibilities:
Manage health and safety sales success by assisting with the product development, placement, and pricing; and managing the promotion of Health and Safety products and services.
Provide design and creative services for key marketing pieces; and manage all printing for the department.
Oversee the creation, coordination and measurement of cause-related marketing partnerships (partnering with Financial Development)
Provide support for the positioning and growth of Corporate giving programs - in conjunction with the Financial Development and Business Development Offices.
Partner with the Director in the underwriting, development and execution of advertising campaigns and initiatives.
Provide marketing counsel and support to revenue-generating special events.
Assist the Communications Coordinator and Director in managing media relations at times of local disasters and serve as chapter spokesperson for local disaster response and as part of the national disaster volunteer program. Assume on-call responsibilities, providing reactive response to media inquiries.
Manage the development, process, and use of chapter research.
Create and/or help organize revenue-generating outreach events specific to Health and Safety
Represent the chapter at internal and external events as assigned
Assume disaster duties as assigned, principally to assist in managing the chapter's efforts to increase public understanding of the American Red Cross
The successful candidate will possess a baccalaureate degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field, 3 to 5 years of experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Also:
Experience and confidence in public speaking
Demonstrated expertise in layout and design
Demonstrated results from marketing-driven initiatives
Familiarity of the production and printing process
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PageMaker and PhotoShop software, as well as digital and 35 mm photography and video
A clean, valid Pennsylvania Driver’s Licence and 24-hour availabiliy of a personal vehicle is required.
EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: The employee in this position will assume on-call emergency services duties and carry a pager (during specified times throughout the month) in order to respond to emergencies and perform other related duties as required.
All Employees are subject to 24-hour on-call in the event of an emergency. This service may require irregular working hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee’s official position description. The employee must be able to relocate to emergency sites with little advance notice and function under intense physical and mental stress.
